What the extension handles

On supported GeoGuessr pages, the extension reads current game and round information, including location coordinates when available, and can place or submit a guess when you choose those features. It requests access to GeoGuessr pages, the GeoGuessr game server, and geoguessrtools.top for these functions. Its Chrome permissions include storage, tabs, and scripting.

Round coordinates and game content are processed in your browser; they are not sent to our account server. The extension does contact our account server to check your license and record a trial operation ID. It stores your sign-in token and feature preferences in Chrome local storage.

Account and purchase information

• Email address: used to send a one-time sign-in code and identify your account.
• Authentication records: code verification data, a session token, and expiry information are used to protect sign-in. The server stores a hash of the session token rather than the plain token.
• Steam Edition password: after email-code verification, you can set a Geoguessr Finder password for the Steam Edition account. The server stores a salted, one-way password hash, not the plain password. Do not use your Steam account password.
• Trial and license records: separate Chrome and Steam request counts and operation IDs, separate paid status, Steam plan and access period, and related timestamps are used to maintain access. Steam automatic use identifiers are derived from the detected round or Street View position; the account API receives an operation identifier, not raw coordinates.
• Order records: Stripe checkout, payment, subscription, invoice, and refund/dispute identifiers and status are used to activate or reverse the applicable license. We do not receive your full card number.
• Operational data: our server and hosting infrastructure may process IP addresses and request details for delivery, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

The website stores a sign-in token in your browser session storage to let you check account status. It is removed when you sign out or close that browser session.

Steam Edition installer

When you sign in to the Windows installer, it sends your Geoguessr Finder email and password over HTTPS to the account API, then checks your Steam Edition trial or paid access before installation. The installer does not ask for your Steam account password or save your Geoguessr Finder password. It temporarily saves an account session token on your device for the game add-on to import into encrypted local storage. Installer downloads require a signed-in account with remaining Steam trial uses or active paid Steam access. Local game-file checks, backups, and restoration take place on your device; the installer may contact our account service for authentication and entitlement checks.

Service providers and sharing

We use Resend to deliver sign-in emails, Stripe to process payments and refunds, and our hosting provider to operate the website and account API. Those services process the information needed for their respective functions under their own privacy terms. We do not sell account or gameplay data or use it for targeted advertising. We may disclose information when required by applicable law or to protect the service from abuse.

Retention and your choices

Account, license, subscription, and transaction records are retained while needed to provide access, address disputes, prevent abuse, and satisfy applicable record-keeping obligations. Temporary verification codes expire after ten minutes; browser session tokens can be removed by signing out. You can reset the Steam Edition password using a new email verification code. To request access, correction, or deletion of account data, email terenban6297@gmail.com from the purchase or login address. Some transaction records may need to be retained for legal or accounting reasons.

Data is transmitted to our service over HTTPS. No security measure eliminates all risk; please do not send passwords, verification codes, API keys, or full payment-card details in support emails.
